The Middle Ground Unit “MGU” was designed to serve the most basic of needs yet with a  few improvements that will help impact the health of a family. Promoting good amounts of sunlight and the ability to create an  air draft across the home with opposing windows will go a long way. Lots of research around the effects of (HAP) household  air pollutants and the terrible conditions for women and children that  it leaves them in is not commonly known. Architectural moldings and the limestone tile print are used to mimic some of the rock walls that decorate the island.

1. Sleeps 6-8 on two levels separating platform at 48” inches off the ground

2. Central Kitchen/Living area with picnic table, built in foam food chest, wood cookstove area, pantry and dish cabinet  

3. Wash room with laundry sink basin and gravity fed shower valve

4. Internal cistern from roof rain harvest

5. micro solar system with inverter and battery for LED lights, phone charging and hot plates. 

6. Planter systems for food harvesting down each side of unit.
