The situation for orphans in Haiti has reached a critical point. In 2023, 37 children from an orphanage in the mountains of Port-AU-Prince were abandoned to an non vetted foster care scheme that ultimately failed, leaving them vulnerable and returned to the state amid a civil war and a non-functioning government.

These children, who have already endured a life filled with despair and disappointment, are now more at risk than ever.
Tektons members have long been connected to these children through their efforts in establishing the campus that previously provided safe housing and nutrition. When conditions deteriorated and the children faced starvation, they brought their heartbreaking testimonies directly to Tektons front door.

Unfortunately, the program that initiated this faulty foster care scheme collapsed in 2025, leaving all assets with the state and abandoning not only these 38 children but also hundreds of others. In response, Tektons has taken immediate action, gathering information and creating a support system aimed at empowering families toward achieving some form of stability.

We humbly ask for your support to help provide housing, food, and education for these children, as every child deserves these basic needs. Among them are six children with extreme special needs who will require lifelong care. Please consider being a literal lifesaver for these young souls who have had their childhoods stolen and have been exploited for support and donations in the past. Your help can make a difference in their lives during this critical time.
